After a slow start to the season, the Houston Rockets have emerged again as a legitimate challenger to the Golden State Warriors' hegemony.

Eric Gordon was asked if he believes the Warriors see the Rockets as their foremost challenger.

“They have to,” Gordon said. “We’re a lot smaller than last year — we’re a different team — but we match up well with them. I really do believe there’s no other team but us that can really have a chance against them.”

The Rockets took the Warriors to seven games in last season's Western Conference Finals.

"We’re peaking at the right time," Gordon said. “I think we’re right there with them.”
