Kyrie Irving is prepared to sign with the Brooklyn Nets when he becomes a free agent on July 1st, according to a source with ties to Roc Nation who spoke with Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.

A separate league source told Bulpett that his team has also received the same information about Irving already deciding upon the Nets.

Irving parted ways with agent Jeff Wechsler this week and will sign with Roc Nation. Irving must wait 15 days to officially sign with Roc Nation.

Irving and Kevin Durant had spoken about playing together with Irving preferring the Nets and Durant preferring the New York Knicks.
