Harrison Barnes is declining his $25.1 million player option for the 19-20 season with the Sacramento Kings to become a free agent.

Barnes will become an unrestricted free agent but he and the Kings are open to discussing a long-term deal.

The Kings acquired Barnes from the Dallas Mavericks at the trade deadline.

Barnes signed a four-year, $94 million deal with the Mavericks in 2016 after leaving the Golden State Warriors.
