Al Horford has been linked with the Dallas Mavericks since talks with the Boston Celtics broke down. Horford declined a $30.1 million player option with the Celtics.

"Al Horford clearly knows he has another offer," said Brian Windhorst. "The speculation within the league is that it's with the Dallas Mavericks. I'm just going to tell you the number that is out there that they're talking about. I have no idea whether it's true. Do you know the number, (Tim) MacMahon?"

"112," replied Jackie MacMullan.

"Four years, $112 million is the number floating around."

Windhorst and MacMullan clarified that they're not reporting this information before MacMahon described it as "rumored speculation."

Marc Stein of the New York Times reports that while there has been much speculation about a potential four-year, $112 million offer waiting for Horford, sources with knowledge of the Mavericks' thinking insist it will not be from Dallas.
