The New Yorks Knicks have "strong interest" in adding Julius Randle and Bobby Portis if they are unable to sign their top free agent targets, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The Knicks will offer short-term deals to maintain their cap flexibility if they miss out on their top targets. The New York Post also reported that the team are only prepared to offer max contracts to Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and Kyrie Irving

Portis, who is a restricted free agent, must receive at least a two-year offer from the Knicks.

Marc Stein also reported that the Knicks are considering offering DeMarcus Cousins a significant one-year deal.
