Kawhi Leonard agreed to meet with the New York Knicks in free agency, but not until Wednesday after finishing with the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, according to a source that spoke with Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Knicks decided not to wait for the meeting and spent nearly all of their $70 million in cap space in the first 20 hours of free agency. The Knicks thought waiting for the Leonard meeting was too large of a risk with the belief they would finish fourth behind the Toronto Raptors, Clippers and Lakers.

The Knicks can only hope Leonard re-signs with the Raptors for one season and reenters the market in 2020.
