The NBA released a memo to all 30 teams outlining changes and new initiatives to its mental health policy, league sources told Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Teams are now expected to make available licensed mental health professionals and a licensed psychiatrist, among others as outlined by The Athletic.

The move comes after several players spoke out about the state of their mental health in recent years, with Adam Silver observing at the Sloan Conference how unhappy this generation of players appeared.

The NBAPA played a critical role in developing the initiatives along with the NBA.
