Kevin Durant and former teammate Kendrick Perkins engaged in a Twitter beef on Thursday evening.

Perkins called Russell Westbrook the greatest player in Oklahoma City Thunder franchise history to promote his media spot.

Perkins defended his take to criticism by citing Durant's record without Westbrook in the 2013 playoffs.

"Hey Kevin left the door open and Russ walked right in," and "KD lost in the second round without Russ when I was there. So what that mean?"

Durant and the Thunder were eliminated by the Memphis Grizzlies in five games without Westbrook, who had a knee injury. Durant then responded to Perkins and by all accounts.

"Yea and our starting center @KendrickPerkins averaged a whopping 2 [points] and 3 [rebounds] during that series," he wrote. "U played hard tho champ lol."

Perkins responded by calling Durant "weak" for signing with the Warriors, to which Durant wrote, "Weak is starting at center, playing real minutes with no production. Should’ve worked on your skills as much as I did."
