John Beilein is expected to be out as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, whether it is this week or at the end of the season.

Beilein was scheduled to meet with Dan Gilbert on Monday.

Beilein signed a five-year contract with the Cavaliers in May, leaving the University of Michigan.

The Cavaliers have struggled both on and off the court under Beilein. Beilein has also struggled with personal issues as his son, Patrick Beilein, resigned as head coach of Niagara in October without having coached a game.

The Cavaliers fired Tyronn Lue in 2018 after an 0-6 start, then promoted Larry Drew to interim head coach.
