Teams are expecting the NBA league office to issue guidelines around June 1st that will allow franchises to begin recalling players who have left their markets to return as a first step toward a formal ramp-up for the resumption of the season.

It is also expected that teams will then be allowed to expand workouts that are already underway with in-market players.

The Athletic reported earlier on Wednesday that training camps are expected to begin in mid-June with games resuming in mid-July.
