Executives from top-seeded teams are having internal discussions over ways to reproduce some form of home-court advantage if and when the season resumes in Orlando.

Teams are reportedly trading ideas about alternate ways of implementing home-court advantage, which include: the higher-seeded team receiving the first possession of the second, third, and fourth quarter, the higher seed designating one player who can get called for seven fouls, or the higher seed receiving an extra coach's challenge, among other ideas.

"I do think the NBA cares about it. I do not think it's a top priority for them," said one Eastern Conference executive.

The NBA's competition committee did not discuss the topic during their Tuesday meeting.

League executives also worried about whether these attempts could be seen as too gimmicky and compromise the legitimacy of this season's champion.
