Trae Young expressed his frustration at the NBA not extending an Orlando invite to the Atlanta Hawks, thereby ending the team's regular season.

"I was mad. I was frustrated. Obviously I wanted to play. I understand what the NBA did and respect their decision. But I am kind of upset because I want to play," said Young on Wednesday.

The Hawks are one of several teams looking to hold their own offseason training in lieu of finishing out the regular season.

Young added that he is in contact with his teammates about holding workouts in Atlanta or Las Vegas once it is safe to do so.

"We can't go five, six months without seeing each other. We are trying to take this to new heights next year."
