Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell are eligible for contract extensions this offseason and there have been reports that both players have some level of reservations about playing in the NBA's return-to-play plan.

According to league sources, the issue is based on insurance policies taken out by the players that would run out at the traditional end of the NBA calendar on June 30th. But the season will be extended until October, which puts those policies into question. There are ongoing talks between represenatives of the players and the league, but both Tatum and Mitchell are expected to play.

Tatum and Mitchell are members of the 2017 NBA Draft class.
