The NBA will allow up to three representatives from the eight teams not participating in the Orlando restart to scout games when the season restarts on July 30th, sources tell The Athletic.

Teams can send a governor, assistant governor and a senior basketball operations executive. Those team officials will only have access to the arenas for games.

The personnel will follow the same protocol as other staff members, but they won't be allowed to go into any of the three hotels losing the 22 teams. The arrangement is similar to that of “Tier 2” media members who can attend games and watch from a distance, but who will not be staying on the campus.

“This policy will be revisited and potentially revised based on campus conditions at that time,” the memo reads.
