The NBA is considering regional site bubbles for the 20-21 season where teams would play for approximately one month and then return home for as long as two weeks to train. They would then move onto the next regional bubble against a new pod of teams.

Orlando and Las Vegas are under consideration as potential host sites.

This idea would allow the NBA to continue playing while waiting for a vaccine to allow fans back to arenas.

The NBA will also consider playing games in practice facilities instead of empty arenas. Practice facilities would be more easily repurposed for television and more cost-effective.
