Ratings for the second week of the NBA's restart were down from the opening Thursday-Sunday period.

The highest rated game drew 1.615 million viewers as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz last Monday. The Lakers/Jazz audience number would have ranked seventh in the first week. The second highest rated game also featured the Lakers as they played the Houston Rockets on TNT and drew 1.596 million viewers.

The ABC Sunday Showcase game featuring the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs drew 1.158 million viewers compared to 1.663 million the previous week when the Boston Celtics played the Portland Trail Blazers. The game between the Pelicans and Spurs competed against the final round of the PGA Championship, which drew 5.153 million viewers.

Twelve of the 16 games aired on ABC, ESPN or TNT drew over one million viewers.

The final nationally televised games of the 18-19 regular season before the start of the playoffs drew somewhat comparable numbers in the 1 million to 1.7 million range.
