Jay Wright has released a statement indicating he is not a candidate for the Philadelphia 76ers' head coaching vacancy.

Wright is the longtime head coach at Villanova.

"I am not a candidate for the job," wrote Wright. "I am very happy and honored to coach at Villanova."
