Alvin Gentry has emerged as a serious possibility to join the coaching staff of Doc Rivers with the Philadelphia 76ers.

The New Orleans Pelicans parted ways with Gentry at the end of the 19-20 season.

Gentry joined Rivers' coaching staff with the Clippers in 2013.
