ABC's coverage of Game 4 of the 2020 NBA Finals averaged 5.3 million total viewers, which was up from Game 3 when just 4 million viewers watched as it opposed Sunday Night Football.

Game 4 was the highest watched telecast of the series as it faced less competition and had the momentum of the Miami Heat winning Game 3 to make the series more competitive.

Ratings have been down across most sports due to the saturation of the sports market as the Stanley Cup Finals were down more than 60 percent.

Game 5 of The Finals is a potential series-clincher for the Los Angeles Lakers and will air Friday, which similarly will not be competing against the NFL.
