The NBA and NBPA have agreed to extend the deadline to serve notice on terminating the existing Collective Bargaining Agreement for a third time. The new deadline will be October 30th.

The extension will allow additional time for talks between the league and union on CBA modifications necessary to adjust for the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on revenues.

Sources say talks between the two sides have been productive and there's optimism of an agreement on adjusted terms being in place before the Nov. 18 draft.

Ongoing talks are centering on increased escrow taken from players' salaries.
