The New Orleans Pelicans are "openly discussing" a trade of Jrue Holiday with "several contending teams pursuing," sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Holiday can become a free agent in 2021 and is in a more advanced stage of his career than the Pelicans' core.

The Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets have been among the teams linked to Holiday in prior reports, but Charania doesn't specify which teams have held talks with the Pelicans.
