The Indiana Pacers will not buy out T.J. McConnell's contract, league sources told J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star.

McConnell, who signed a two-year, $7 million deal last year with the Pacers, is "a lock" to return to the team due to his professionalism and attitude.

The team could have bought out his contract for $1 million.

McConnell averaged 6.5 points and 5.0 assists last season.
