Scott Brooks is in his fifth season as head coach of the Washington Wizards and sources tell Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer that he is "sitting firmly on the hot seat."

The Wizards are 2-8 while ranking 11th in offensive rating and 27th in defensive rating. Washington's trade for Russell Westbrook in which they gave up a future first round pick already feels like a mistake for the franchise.

Brooks does not have a contract for the 21-22 season with the Wizards.

Tony Brown is Washington's associate head coach and became interim head coach of the Brooklyn Nets in 2016 when the team fired Lionel Hollins.
