The average NBA franchise is now worth nearly $2.4 billion, according to data complied by Sportico. The average is down two percent as a direct result of the pandemic, based on the modeling of Sportico.

Collectively, the fair market value of the 30 NBA teams is more than $71 billion with the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers each worth more than $5 billion. The $5 billion valuation for those three franchises is worth more than all NFL teams except for the Dallas Cowboys. 

The Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and Toronto Raptors round out the top-10.

The New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves comprise the bottom-3.
