The NBA and NBPA agreed to new COVID-19 protocols for vaccinated players.

The loosening of restrictions for vaccinated players include:

• no quarantine due to exposure
• no testing on off days
• ability to go to outdoor restaurants
• host four guests on the road without prior testing

Fully vaccinated players, coaches, and staff will also be able to leave the hotel at any time, attend in-person marketing events, have in-person team meetings, and complete their PCR testing earlier in the day.  

The new policies will go into effect once 85% of Tier 1 and Tier 2 individuals are vaccinated.

An individual is considered vaccinated 14 days after receiving the last dose.
