Sterling Brown was the victim of an assault and suffered facial lacerations as he was jumped outside of a club in Miami on Sunday evening. Brown was hit in the head with a bottle and admitted to Jackson Memorial Hospital and discharged from the emergency room the same day.

Multiple sources with knowledge of the incident told The Athletic it was a serious altercation. 

"Thankfully he's gonna be OK," Stephen Silas said Monday.

“We are in the process of gathering information and hopeful that Sterling makes a full recovery," an NBA spokesperson said.

Brown, in his first year with the Rockets, is averaging 8.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
