Chris Paul has entered the NBA's COVID-19 protocols and will be sidelined indefinitely.

Paul's status is up in the air for the start of the Western Conference Finals, according to sources.

Depending on the circumstance, an isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated individual.

Paul finished fifth in MVP voting and had an excellent Western Conference Semifinals.

ESPN's Jalen Rose reports Paul has already been vaccinated against COVID-19. John Gambadoro of 98.7 FM in Phoenix also reports that Paul was vaccinated in February.

The Suns announced that Paul's status will be updated on Saturday. The earliest the Western Conference Finals will start is Sunday.
