The Utah Jazz have waived guard Matt Thomas. Thomas will be an unrestricted free agent upon clearing waivers.

This waiver represents $1.8 million in savings for the Jazz. Utah is expected to exceed the luxury tax next season, assuming they re-sign guard Mike Conley.

The Jazz acquired Thomas at the 2021 trade deadline. In 86 career regular season games, Thomas has shot 41.3% on three-pointers. He's expected to draw interest from shooting-needy teams in free agency.
