Lance Stephenson's return to the Indiana Pacers has gone better than anyone could have expected. So much so, that Indiana is now expected to keep Stephenson after his 10-Day contract expires on Tuesday.

In his third go-around with the Pacers, Stephenson has played in four games. In those appearances, he's averaged 14.3 points and 6.0 assists per contest. This includes a game where Stephenson scored 20 of his 30 points in six first-quarter minutes off the Indiana bench. He also had a game of 16 points, 14 assists, six rebounds and four steals in a win over the Utah Jazz.

The Pacers opened up a roster spot when they waived Kelan Martin last week, prior to Martin's contract becoming fully guaranteed. That spot now seems likely to go to Stephenson.
