Anthony Davis has been out since injuring his left knee on December 17. He was diagnosed with a sprained MCL and was expected to be out 4-8 weeks. Recently Davis has ramped up his individual on-court work. That has Davis in line to potentially return by the end of January.

Los Angeles Lakers coach Frank Vogel said Davis would be re-evaluated early next week. After that, the team hopes to have a better idea of Davis' timetable to return.

The Lakers have gone 5-7 without Davis in the lineup during this period. Los Angeles has resorted to playing LeBron James at center to start games while Davis has been out.
