Domantas Sabonis sprained his right ankle in the Indiana Pacers win over the Los Angeles Lakers on January 19. After an absence of more than a week, Sabonis seems to be on track to return this weekend.

Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Sabonis is improving each day and it's possible he could play this weekend. Indiana plays back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday at the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks.

Sabonis continues to be in trade rumors, as the Pacers look to reset their roster. Recent reporting is that it would take a package like the one the Orlando Magic got for Nikola Vucevic for Indiana to move Sabonis. The Magic got two first-round picks and Wendell Carter Jr. as the primary return in that deal. Orlando was also able to shed the salary of Al-Farouq Aminu in the trade.
