The Indiana Pacers have agreed to trade Domantas Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings for a package centered on Tyrese Haliburton.

The Pacers are including Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and a 2027 second-round pick in exchange for Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson.

The Sacramento backcourt is now less crowded in De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell.

Indiana was poised to split up their big man pairing of Sabonis and Myles Turner this season. Sabonis was widely considered to have significant more trade value than Turner.

The Pacers previously traded Caris LeVert and now have a revamped backcourt of Haliburton, Malcolm Brogdon and Chris Duarte.

"The league was stunned at this trade," said Adrian Wojnarowski on NBA Today. Wojnarowski added that other teams didn't realize Halburton was available.

"I'm told he was stunned today," said Wojnarowski of Haliburton.

Haliburton is represented by Aaron Mintz of CAA, who also represents former Indiana All-Star Paul George.

Sabonis is represented by Jason Ranne and Greg Lawrence of Wasserman. Ranne also represents former Sacramento guard Bogdan Bogdanovic.
