James Harden has agreed to opt into his $47.3 million player option for the 22-23 season as part of his trade from the Brooklyn Nets to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Harden could sign a four-year extension with the 76ers worth approximately $223 million.

Harden decided not to sign an extension with the Nets before the start of the season, citing his preference to become a free agent. Harden could have signed a three-year, $161.1 million extension.
