LeBron James is "unlikely" to play in Tuesday's game for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Phoenix Suns, according to a source. The source cautioned that things with James could unexpected improve by then to allow him to play.

The Lakers have road games coming up at the Suns on Tuesday, Golden State Warriors on Thursday, and the Denver Nuggets on Sunday to close out the season in addition to a home game on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Lakers are two games behind the San Antonio Spurs for the 10th spot while also not having the tiebreaker, which puts their play-in odds as a major long shot.

James is leading the NBA in scoring at 30.3 points per game but he has yet to qualify for the scoring title based on the games played criteria.
