Paul George has entered the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols ahead of Friday's Play-In game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

George started to show symptoms on Thursday and tested on Friday. There are no other players on the Clippers experiencing symptoms and therefore won't have to test ahead of their game on Friday.

The Los Angeles Clippers lost at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, setting up their opportunity to advance to the playoffs at home. The winner of Friday's game between the Clippers and Pelicans will play the Phoenix Suns in the first round.

George returned from his UCL injury in March and averaged 24.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists in 34.7 minutes over 31 games this season.
