In Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, James Harden had his most important performance since joining the Philadelphia 76ers in scoring 31 points in their 116-108 win over the Miami Heat. Harden scored 16 points in the fourth quarter.

“That’s the reason why he’s here. That’s the reason why we brought him,” Joel Embiid said. “Since he’s gotten here, he’s been adjusting based on what we need from him, whether it’s playmaking, and tonight just going and getting a bucket. Especially based on how they were guarding everybody else and making tough shots, he’s been doing that his whole career and that’s why he’s here.”

The Sixers evened the series with a pair of wins at home after losing the first two at Miami with Embiid injured.

“It’s just fun, I’m just on the court admiring it and having fun,” Embiid said. “He’s really the reason we won the game; his takeover in the fourth was huge for us. Making the right plays, attacking when he had the opportunity.”

"We're still a fairly new team," Harden said. "We're barely two months in. ... We're finally settling into the series. We found some great things that'll work tonight."
