James Wiseman has missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season for the Golden State Warriors. But the former second overall pick recently had a procedure which could have him ready to play in 2022 Summer League.

Wiseman and Warriors GM Bob Meyers traveled to London in April and the young center had a plasma-rich injection to promote healing throughout his body. The hope was that this would help Wiseman's knee, which was originally surgically repaired in April of 2021.

Wiseman has been pain-free in recent weeks. That has him nearing clearance for full-contact work in the coming weeks. The Warriors and Wiseman both have set a goal for him to be cleared to play in Summer League, which starts in early-July.

Golden State will participate in both the California Classic on July 2 and 3, as well as the Las Vegas Summer League, which runs from July 7 to July 17. The hope is that Wiseman will be able to play in at least some of those contests to give him a launching pad into a productive offseason before 2022 training camp this fall.
