The Charlotte Hornets have extended their lease with the Spectrum Center in downtown Charlotte through 2045. The original lease was expected to expire in 2030.

The Spectrum Center has been the home of the Hornets since it opened in 2005. Upon opening, the arena was named Charlotte Bobcats Arena, in a nod to the Hornets original nickname when the franchise was restarted.

In addition to hosting Hornets games, the Spectrum Center has hosted college basketball games, including NCAA Tournament and conference tournament games. It was also home to the 2019 NBA All-Star Game.
