Patty Mills declined his $6.2 million player option for the 2022-23 with the Brooklyn Nets. Mills will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Mills signed a two-year deal with Brooklyn via the Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception last offseason. Brooklyn could re-sign him to a salary of just over $7 million for next season via Mills' Non-Bird Rights.

Last season, the veteran guard averaged 11.4 points per game on 40% three-point shooting. Mills seemed to wear down, as the 33-year-old played in 81 games and played a career-high 29 minutes per game for the Nets. Mills regularly started until Kyrie Irving returned the team in early-January.
