There have been rumors that the Golden State Warriors have had discussions on bring Kevin Durant back to the Bay Area. Even though Warriors GM Bob Myers said "I like our team", the rumors still persist.

The Nets don't seem motivated to take on Andrew Wiggins or Jordan Poole in a potential Durant deal. ESPN's Zach Lowe said Brooklyn isn't high on either player, which would leave the Warriors offering a package of younger, unproven players for Durant.

Another challenge in a potential Warriors-Nets trade is that Wiggins would probably have to be a part of it for salary-matching reasons. Because Wiggins is heading into the final year of a designated player extension, there are complications for Brooklyn. The Nets have already traded for Ben Simmons while he is on a designated player extension. Teams cannot trade for two players who have signed designated player extensions.
