The NBA has informed teams that the vaccination rules to enter Canada are expected to remain in place for the upcoming season. This means that personnel must have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or have received a medical exemption to be available for games in Canada.

This season, the Toronto Raptors are scheduled to play a combined 44 preseason and regular season games in Canada. The Raptors will play preseason contests in Toronto, Edmonton and Montreal, as well as their regularly scheduled 41 home games.

Any players unable to play in Canada must be listed as "Out - Health and Safety Protocols". Those players will also lose that portion of their salary for games missed due to being unvaccinated.

The rules also prevent unvaccinated personnel from entering the United States from Canada. Last season, the Raptors reported that their team was fully vaccinated.
