The New Orleans Pelicans ended the Two-Way contract for big man John Butler. The Pelicans also waived guard John Petty Jr.

The Pelicans signed Kelan Martin and Javonte Smart to bring their training camp roster back up to 20 players.

Butler was originally signed by New Orleans at the beginning of September. He was then converted to a Two-Way contract a month later. Butler may still find a home with the Pelicans, pending other moves as New Orleans finalizes their roster.

Petty was signed to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. He's expected to play for the Birmingham Squadron of the G League this upcoming season.

Martin and Smart both have NBA experience. Martin has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics. Smart split last season between the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat.
