The Brooklyn Nets will hire Ime Udoka as their next head coach.

Udoka is currently suspended for the entire 22-23 season by the Boston Celtics due to an inappropriate relationship with a staffer.

The Celtics granted Brooklyn permission to speak with Udoka and will allow him to leave freely without seeking any compensation.

Boston hired Udoka before the 21-22 season after he served as an assistant coach with the Nets. Udoka helped lead the Celtics to The Finals.

Udoka previously worked with Sean Marks with the San Antion Spurs.
