Ja Morant filed a countersuit against the teenager suing the Memphis Grizzlies guard, accusing the teen of slander, battery, and assault.

The events in question allegedly took place during a pickup game at Morant's house last July. Morant is accusing Joshua Holloway of damaging his reputation and putting him at risk of losing money in contracts and potential endorsement deals.

Morant's countersuit notes that Holloway's lawsuit against Morant was reported nationally despite being under seal until an amended version was filed on March 28.

Morant is also accusing Holloway of lying to police in his original lawsuit, as well as the amended version.

Morant admits he punched Holloway in the countersuit after getting hit in the face with a basketball. The countersuit alleges that Holloway yelled that he would "light [Mr. Morant's] house up like a firework show" after getting escorted from the house.
