Doc Rivers said he expects to return as the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers next season following the team's season-ending Game 7 loss to the Boston Celtics.

"Yeah. I think I have two years left," said Rivers.

Rivers, who was hired following the bubble season, concluded his third year as Sixers coach.

Joel Embiid echoed his enthusiasm for Rivers' return.

"Coach has been fantastic. And he's done a great job, in my opinion," said Embiid following the loss.

When asked about his relationship with Rivers, James Harden said "Our relationship is OK."

Rivers went on to express his disappointment for the way the season ended.

"Disappointed. I'm disappointed. I thought we had the right group. I really did."
