The Utah Jazz announced Monday night that forward Matt Harpring underwent minor surgery to remove scar tissue from his knee.

Other than saying Harpring was expected to be ready for the start of training camp in October, team officials declined further comment.

Attempts to contact Richard Howell, Harpring's Atlanta-based agent, were unsuccessful.

Last year, Harpring played in 77 of 82 regular season games. He averaged 11.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 25.5 minutes as one of the NBA's most productive off-the-bench players.
