The San Antonio Spurs have signed Josh Howard to a non-guaranteed deal, the team announced.
The contract was expected to be finalized by Friday afternoon, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Howard is 33 and coming off his second major knee surgery in less than three years.
There is a strong chance that Howard does not open the season on the Spurs' 15-player roster.
