The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that John Stockton will likely be faced with having to sign for far less than the $11 million he made last year.  With the Jazz on the edge of the Luxury Tax abyss, the most they will be able to offer the perennial all-star is $8 million.  Nonetheless, Jazz management has nothing but praise for the professionalism and dedication Stockton has shown over the years.  Karl Malone, however, says that if he were in Stockton's shoes he wouldn't accept a lowball offer.  Stockton himself just wants to keep the negotiations private.
