The Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls have had serious discussions about a trade that would send guards Gordan Giricek and Tyronn Lue to Chicago inexchange for Marcus Fizer.
Magic guard Shammond Williams would also have to be in the deal to make the numbers work.
There is also speculation that Giricek could be headed to the Utah Jazz inexchange for point guard Carlos Arroyo or forward Jarron Collins.
Magic general manager John Gabriel is also exploring deals for forward Juwan Howard but sounds as if Giricek is getting more interest from other teams.
"We'll keep looking around," Gabriel said. A lot of general managers keep saying they can do at least one or two things. But I think the theme of this trade deadline will be acquiring players with expiring contracts."
