Nets? team president Rod Thorn is not ruling out the possibility that Richard Jefferson could return for Wednesday?s regular-season finale at Boston.

"Theoretically," Thorn said, "but I would doubt it.

"It depends on how he is. He hasn't played with the team now for a long time. To just step in and play, it's tough. But obviously he's such a talented kid that he can give us some help at least in short periods of time. He's just not quite ready to do that yet."

Jefferson had ligament surgery on his wrist on January 20th and was originally projected to be out for at least four months.
